A reminder to enjoy the everyday.

Life has a way of keeping us looking ahead. For me, as a young mum of three, I know just how easy it is to get caught up in the busyness of everyday life, always looking towards the next milestone, the next season, or the next big thing.

We tell ourselves we'll wear that favourite dress when there's somewhere special to go, save those beautiful shoes for the right occasion, or enjoy the little things when life slows down a little. Before we know it, we're so busy waiting for the next moment that we forget to appreciate the one we're in.

Calypso was created as a gentle reminder to do just that: enjoy the everyday.

Inspired by the sea and sandy shores, Calypso takes its meaning from the beauty of the ocean in all its forms. The high tides and low tides, the still and the stormy, the calm and the unpredictable. No matter what the day brings, there's something beautiful about the sea. We don't wait for it to be perfectly still to enjoy it. We love it through every season, every mood and every tide.

Life is much the same.

There will always be another milestone to reach, another occasion to celebrate and another chapter just around the corner. But there's beauty in the ordinary days, too. In the little moments, the messy ones, the slow ones and the ones that don't go quite to plan.

And that's the feeling we hope to bring to Calypso.
